Back to the Louve and then the hotel

This sums up our last day: we went back to the Louve and then back to the hotel by Metro (& yes we have been singing the Berlin song "riding on the Metro" each day). If anyone else comes please noteThe Museum Pass is the only way to go -you skip half the lines! Love it!!!

More for the girls

Red wine in a mini can, children's wine, a coke to dance with, $31 water - but it looks good, and all over the city you see these recycling bins- they are for wine bottles!!!!

Musee d'Orsay

The museum will not let you take pictures so here's the brochure - we saw art by Monet (my fav), Renoir, Cezanne, Degas, Manet, Van Gogh, Seurat

Patisserie

Pastry Shop! You knew we would have to go to at least one!

Musee Rodin

Today was 90% chance of rain so we went to the outdoor museum first - I had to see the thinker! We also licked out and saw Van Gogh's painting of Rodin as well as the Hotel 's temporary exhibit of "masterpieces on the move" which were other artists sculptures. We saw the original size thinker but I will point out these things are huge just look at the hands!!!

The Arc de Triomphe

We went at night because it is one of the only monuments open at night but what a view!

Dinner at the Cafe

Just to give you a good feel for Paris, everywhere you go there are little outdoor cafes. I was very excited to use them and to order a Croque Monsieur (grilled ham and cheese- I was surprised the cheese was on the outside) so we have and this one was dinner - it was also across the street from the hotel. The fun part is when they had to move me to get to their garbage cans which are under ground like most everything.
